BLOG CONTENTS

General useful advice

• Tag all your posts. Use labels for each of your posts,e.g., writing, video, podcast, oral presentation, extra, summary, dialogue, 2term,1term,3term, oral self-assessment, summary, film etc.

• Tag all your content. Basically you will do these types of tasks:
• Tasks: compulsory class tasks such as oral presentations, writings, podcasts and the observation of the oral presentations. These tasks are set by the teacher. Tag them as task.
• Opinions about a topic that you choose. Write minimum 100 words.Include vocabulary learnt in the unit. Tag them as opinion. You are required to comment on 3 events per term. 
• Review: write a review on a film, a new album, book, play you have watched recently. Include a trailer of the film, the book cover, an image or/an excerpt from the book, a short summary and a personal opinion. Tag as review.
• News: comment on 6 news per term. Tag them as news. Note:
• link the piece of news to its original source.
• list a minimum of 4 new words and a translation or definition in English at the bottom of the page.
• summarize the news report using your own words. Don't copy from the source.
• add a personal comment.
• Extra: anything you feel like talking or writing about. Tag as extra. You will get extra points; 0,1 more in your term grade. Plagiarism results in a negative mark.

TASKS	WRITING 1.Welcome message: introduce yourself by means of a video, picture  and explain why you identify with it. 2. First mail to the teacher: explain the course objectives, your level at the beginning of 2nd btx, your high and lows on language, what you want to learn, what you already know, what you want to improve,… 3. Summary and opinion of the videos: History of the English language in 10 minutes. 4. An Informative essay ( the teacher will tell you) 5. Term assessment: A reflection at the end of every term, you should look back on all the tasks you have produced and write about which activity represents your level of English and what you have learnt.	DEADLINES WILL BE NOTIFIED BY THE TEACHER.
	ORALS 1. Podcast: tell a joke and a dialogue in pairs talking about an advert ( min.1 minute). 2. Podcast: describe a place you enjoy ( min.1 minute) 3.Oral presentation and self-evaluation: Advertising Sell me your product ( the teacher will tell you)
OPINIONS	3 opinions about your interests (min 100 words)
REVIEW	A review of a film, book, album, song, a poem,.. (min 100 words)
NEWS	6 items of news (min. 100 words. Photo or video, Link, Summary and your Opinion, 4 new words + definition and link)
EXTRA	- Podcast: read and record the poem: On Flanders Fields - Narrative text on Halloween story. (min. 100 words) -Podcast: comment on the sketch of Catherine Tate The Translator. (min. 1 minute) - Comment on Vicky Pollard’s videos. Is there a “tribe” in Catalonia similar to the “chavs”? (min. 100 words) -….

Please note that some tasks may change. If this happens, your teacher will let you know in advance.
